we stayed an extra day in chicago to teach a video blogshop, and all our students took it to the next level. the barkers graciously hosted us again, and we were still enjoying decor by fox glove studio.

i love rubber stamps. we have some great ones at the office and we’ve made them for our events and projects. this notes stamp by inspire lovely is great for making a card to a friend.

those geometric coin purses are made by fabric paper glue. they come in tons of colors & finishes.

we also gave our video class students a knock knock  great ideas notepad to take notes of things they have to remember. practice makes perfect and we want to make sure they remember what they need to work on at home.

the best part about teaching  blogshop in chicago is that i get to stay at my mom’s house and relax with family after class. my mom made angela & i roast, potatoes and carrots when we got home from teaching. it was awesome. as usual, we had another stellar group of students attend this time. we taught in our friend’s studio (the barkers) again and had a great time.

let’s get into the goodie bag breakdown…

caitlin of fox glove studio created all of our cheerful floral arrangements for this class..

you know by now that bkrs are my favorite water bottles ever.

fox glove studio made this festive geometric garland into a photo backdrop for the smilebooth we had on hand.

these notepads by knock knock have catchy sayings. i love the mint & gold combo too.

i use tea towels to wrap a gift or package or for its obvious kitchen use. map tote makes these 3 designs. the cocktail themed shown above is my pick.

hunter’s hideaway is an etsy shop that sells these stamp duos that make designs when you repeat them, and we thought they’s be perfect for the goodie bags.

it’s vital to keep cards and gift wrapping supplies on hand. a thank you goes a long way. we gave each student a kit from california craft with stickers, tags, bags and twine for quick projects.

i’ve been wearing this delicate triangle ring nonstop since chicago. virginie millefiore makes some really cool jewelry and we gave these colorful rings to our chicago students.

patina vintage rentals’ studio is just one of those magical places. it is bursting with cool stuff (all available for rent, new yorkers!) and always proves to be the perfect place to hold class. i love mixing and matching their pieces to create our classroom.

glitter and rye created these floral arrangements with protea! they have such an interesting and unique shape, you can barely believe they are real.

most of us here at blogshop are pretty big confetti fans, so we had to give each student a pack of this silver & gold party confetti from knot & bow.

i think it would be fun to wrap a gift in these maptote bandanas. they make them for several different cities and they’re a fun memento.

and you know how much we love bkr bottles. they are definitely a part of the blogshop brand now.

i think these line posters are so cool. they make art out of mass transit routes in major cities, and we thought it was fitting to give each student the new york city poster to hang. simple, clean design.

mishel valenton makes and sells these gorgeous and colorful prints in her online shop, aeropagita.

the type a press line fox + anchor paper makes these sweet mini bow-covered coasters that i like in black and white.

these art-deco style hair pins are by r-ki-tekt, and i’m a sucker for gold and sea foam.

one thing i look forward to in NYC: eating radish! they never fail to bring a beautiful presentation. this time we enjoyed strawberry ricotta flatbreads as a snack.

a while back truffle sent me this travel document pouch and i thought it would be a great thing to give our blogshoppers for when they travel, or to hold important things. they made us custom notepads and tucked in a red le pen to write down important thoughts.

those custom arrow framed and hanging pieces on the wall were handmade by our stellar decor team, glitter and rye!

and this iridescent rainbow house…well come on, look at it. 2of2 on etsy makes these tiny guys. we gave one as a prize to a student, but i would love to have one on my vanity.

thank you NYC, and really, i can’t wait to come back in august.

maggpie vintage rentals provided our oversized wooden tables and chairs where our students sat.

bhldn sent along these paper poms we suspended from the ceiling with this delicate and airy garland.

sullivan created this unbelievable floral photo backdrop that really floored me. she is quite talented!

we switched up our bkr combo this time as well. what do you think? we are also excited to see the new colors they are rolling out for the summer so stay tuned.

i think this champagne tote  is a must-have for visiting a friend’s house for brunch or as a housewarming gift. maptote makes single and double totes for wine and champagne, and even has custom bags for certain cities.

how about these soft and bright towels from turkish-t? they are so light it can really be a scarf, a wrap, a skirt, a towel, a mini tablecloth…i know i’ll have fun inventing ways to use mine.

you know how i feel about note-taking, so we gave each student a gold-foiled notepad by branch + cotton. these are actually great as little notecards to send to friends as well.

sullivan also created several vignettes throughout the room using these gorgeous vintage rental pieces from maggpie. they have such a stunning selection.

we gave each student a pack of  blooming shoppe straws from bhldn. they will be so cute in a summer cocktail.

these french prints from ampersand design studios were a real hit. they make a bunch of different versions…the black and gold c’est tout is cool.

i never realized how boring regular bandages were until i saw what pretty strips was doing with theirs. they make washi-like patterned bandages  in all kinds of colors!

we gave an in-class winner the philadelphia double wine tote. hey, all that learning can make you thirsty…

turkish-t also makes these cotton herringbone diamond blankets that are really soft to curl up in. we gave it away in aqua as a prize. and maybe twirled around in it in the streets for a minute.

will i ever tire of teaching in this city? not as long as i keep meeting so many excited, talented and just all around awesome students. this video class was no exception and i love watching our students apply their knowledge right in class.

these dip-dyed pouches and passport holders by matine were all made by hand. they have some great clutches in their shop as well.

maptote makes these awesome oversized mapnotes cards. i like to use them as wall art.

i don’t know how they make these perfectly carved wooden rings over there at acorn and archer. we also gave a couple lucky students these necklaces as a prize.

these delicious macarons were courtesy of hilary freeman of the sugar studio.

each student got a pack of numbered edition coasters from heather lins home. i’m really into coasters right now and love how these mix in with bright colors and patterns.

jennifer edmon of something blue created some really cool custom florals that we got to enjoy the whole weekend.

it’s so entertaining to watch everyone creating something unique. they all come up with ideas for videos they could shoot for their blogs and businesses & collaborate with their classmates. and the best part about editing video in photoshop is that it’s not as hard as you’d think. you can add custom text, colors, handwriting…trust me, it’s cool.
